NCHBA Members: Today, Governor Roy Cooper held a briefing and plans to issue an Executive Order which includes more restrictions both on our citizens and certain businesses as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. However, based on the Governor’s remarks at the briefing, these restrictions do NOT limit home building. Since last week, NCHBA has been in almost daily communication with the Governor’s Office regarding a rumored “shelter-in-place” order which has been adopted in several other states.
**Effective 3/25/2020** As part of COVID-19 precautions the Henderson County Permit Center is closed to the public until further notice.
Due to recent public health developments aimed at containing the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), NCHBA Senior Officers have made the difficult decision to cancel next week’s Town Hall Tour across North Carolina. HOWEVER, the Town Hall will proceed as a virtual event on Friday, March 20 at 10:30 am. To join our virtual Town Hall, please use this link: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/312302805.
